As an Operating Theatre Recovery volunteer, you will work closely with staff to support the post-anaesthetic care of patients by providing comfort, as well as reconnecting and regulating caregiver visits. We are seeking champion volunteers to visit lonely older people in Ivanhoe and its surrounding suburbs. Our program helps to improve the lives of older people who face social isolation through meaningful friendships. It's very rewarding, flexible, and suited to anyone who is friendly, kind and reliable!

The Volunteer Visitor will provide friendship and companionship through regular one-on-one/or group visits to older people residing in Australian Government Residential Aged Care Facilities and/or one-on-one visits to recipients of Footprints Community Home Care Packages (HCP) who are socially isolated or at risk of social isolation.
