Several helping hands are needed to re-vegetate a weedy reserve for the return of local native vegetation. We require planters and weeders to continue our revegetation work in The Susannah Brook Reserve.

Our organisation runs out of a house on an acreage property and is subject to real estate inspection every three months. Additionally, our President is allergic to dust and can't let too much dust pile up or else she gets sick. We need help with this so that the facility is spotless for those inspections and also for visitors who expect that a wildlife hospital is always in pristine condition!!

Coastal Dry Tropics Landcare is a not-for-profit community group, dedicated to conservation and re-vegetation activities in the Townsville region. Landcare site volunteers help remove invasive weeds, participate in tree planting events, water plants, spread mulch, pick up litter and other general duties involved in maintaining the sites #EventVolunteering #YouthVol #enviroment #gardening #fitness #outdoors

Your gardening experience, or your willingness to learn new gardening skills, will be greatly appreciated in this role. You'll be working outdoors in a beautiful setting: planting, weeding, pruning and mulching as well as other garden related activities. Days and hours are negotiable to suit your schedule. The role requires a current Criminal Record Check and would prefer a current Working with Children Check.

As one of the Repair Volunteers, you will assist visitors to the repair cafe to: * fix their broken/damaged household items. You will already have the skills to fix one or more of the following: * electrical/electronic/mechanical items * clothing/bedding/other * textiles, jewellery, toys, woodwork, metalwork, bicycles, * and/or other general items You will be able to provide advice to visitors about whether specific items * can be fixed & the parts needed.
