Landcare Site Volunteer - Townsville
About this opportunity
Coastal Dry Tropics Landcare is a not-for-profit community group, dedicated to conservation and re-vegetation activities in the Townsville region. We operate numerous Landcare sites around Townsville which hold monthly volunteer site days. Our goal is to work with the community to help our local environment by removing invasive weeds and planting local provenance native plants. This will increase local biodiversity and make our environment a better place to live in.
Landcare site volunteers help remove invasive weeds, participate in tree planting events, water plants, spread mulch, pick up litter and other general duties involved in maintaining the sites.
Our ideal volunteer wants to help out their local environment and learn more about how they can make a difference. Physical work is undertaken in this role.
You will get a hands on chance to help your local environment, learn from other volunteers in the field and work with other like minded community members.
