Way Finding Volunteers help families navigate their way around the Queensland Children’s Hospital (QCH).Everyday QCH sees more than 1000 families come through the doors and the Way Finders are often the first point of contact for worried and often hurried parents, offering a welcoming smile and a gentle guiding hand.

As an Operating Theatre Recovery volunteer, you will work closely with staff to support the post-anaesthetic care of patients by providing comfort, as well as reconnecting and regulating caregiver visits. We demonstrate the use of a copper boiler to do washing, an old printing press, dairy equipment and blacksmithing. We also have a replica of the First Fleet and can give a talk about the first settlement at Port Phillip. We need people who can work well with children, keep them interested and entertained. All training will be provided.
