Volunteer shift involves driving to pick up leftover/excess food from retailers (e.g. supermarket/bakery) and delivering it to a local charity, saving valuable food from ending up in landfill and providing immediate relief for those experiencing food insecurity. We are seeking a mature person who can offer conversation and maybe even a game of cards for a friendly gentleman who lives in an aged care home. Seeking a visitor for a friendly lady who who would like company for a chat over coffee. She enjoys word searches, AFL football, reading novels and music. This volunteer role offers flexibility and reward for both the volunteer and recipient of visits.
