We believe that everyone deserves a friend, and Volunteer Visitors play a vital role in reducing loneliness and bringing a smile and companionship to older people in our community.

A cheerful lady who is passionate about classical music is seeking a new visitor who also appreciates the depth and breadth of the world of classical music. If you would enjoy connecting with an experienced musician to chat and share general company, you really could make a difference alleviating feelings of loneliness while making a new friend.

MS Plus is funded to provide a volunteer visiting program – the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS). Volunteers share stories, help with a hobby, interest or activity, share a cuppa and a chat, enjoy a walk, listen to music or play a board game. Our volunteers play a vital role in the life of a person living in an aged care home or their own home through ongoing friendship.

You need to be caring, reliable and be willing to commit to fortnightly connections for 6-12 months.
