Way Finding Volunteers help families navigate their way around the Queensland Children’s Hospital (QCH).Everyday QCH sees more than 1000 families come through the doors and the Way Finders are often the first point of contact for worried and often hurried parents, offering a welcoming smile and a gentle guiding hand.
As an Operating Theatre Recovery volunteer, you will work closely with staff to support the post-anaesthetic care of patients by providing comfort, as well as reconnecting and regulating caregiver visits. Volunteers also support the Queensland Children’s Hospital Recovery staff by answering the phones and maintaining comfort supplies.
Provide support to parents and carers entering the operating suites at the Queensland Children’s Hospital. Volunteers help ease the anxiety of a child’s surgical journey by working closely with medical staff to provide information and emotional support to parents and carers.
Help facilitate play, activities and distraction for patients, siblings and visitors at the Queensland Children’s Hospital. Join our volunteer team to provide moments of happiness and social connection in the hospital environment.

Special Olympics Melbourne Inner East (MIE) is seeking one or two enthusiastic volunteers to organise, administrate and oversee our Bocce Program. The Bocce Coordinator(s) will work under the direction of the Club Sports Coordinator and State Bocce Manager. Special Olympics is a not-for-profit organisation with the primary goal of helping those with an intellectual disability to participate in sport to enhance their physical and mental wellbeing, sense of purpose and community connections.

Boccia SA is holding our State titles from 8th until 10th June 2024 at The Lights Community and Sports Centre. We are seeking volunteers to help us time keep games via a app on iPads. You will be taught how to do the timekeeping. Each day starts at 8:30am and finishes by 5pm. You don't need to attend the whole day or every day if you can't commit for the entire weekend and there will be vouchers for all volunteers to get something from the cafe and lunch provided. WWCC is required.
