Special Olympics Melbourne Inner East (MIE) is seeking one or two enthusiastic volunteers to organise, administrate and oversee our Bocce Program. The Bocce Coordinator(s) will work under the direction of the Club Sports Coordinator and State Bocce Manager. Special Olympics is a not-for-profit organisation with the primary goal of helping those with an intellectual disability to participate in sport to enhance their physical and mental wellbeing, sense of purpose and community connections.

Our reservoir reserves are home to beautiful landscapes and unique flora and fauna. Join a group of like-minded people and help nurture these special places. You'll be actively involved in caring for your local reservoir reserve and enhancing the experience for visitors. The native plant seed orchard aims to grow seed for revegetation on the farm site and to share knowledge and skills to be able to increase involvement of community members and make revegetation more accessible to community from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. in summer volunteers will collect and manage grassland seeds, in winter volunteers will be part of revegetation projects, in autumn volunteers will support the building and set-up of the native seed orchard.

Lane Cove National Park has a thriving Bushcare Program running under the supervision of a National Parks Bushcare Coordinator. There are groups currently working on different days, from every week to once a month, and they welcome new members. Work is in the bush, removing weeds so that native plants will regenerate, improving the biodiversity of the park.

Park Ambassadors are passionate about the history, community, and the continuous development of the park. Through interaction with visitors, we provide meaningful and enriching experiences for every demographic. Our ambassadors have specialised knowledge of the park and are able to assist our visitors on a day-to-day basis, at our events, and seasonal activities throughout the year.
