Farm Animal Rescue are seeking habitat cleaning volunteers to care for some of the sanctuary’s most fragile rescued animals.

Farm Animal Rescue is inviting applications for Open Day Volunteer.

We are seeking an animal care assistant to work for up to 7 hours on a regular basis providing the best of care to the sanctuary’s animals. You will work alongside our live-in animal care team. This includes, cleaning, prepping, feeding and basic health assessment. You can commit to volunteer once per week, per fortnight or per month.

The volunteers assist riders with leading horses or walking along side riders/horses during their classes. All classes are designed and controlled by our qualified coach. Pets for Life Volunteers provide practical support as guided by the owner in the care of their companion animal. The role is two-fold in that while assisting to maintain the animal’s welfare, volunteers will also be interacting with and become a support/contact for the older person. Isolation of the older person will be dramatically reduced through the volunteer visits and interaction around the animal’s care.
