This role has been developed to support the Thriving Families Team - We are looking for a worker who can bring a positive energy to Thriving Families and who likes to be a part of a fun and enthusiastic team. Volunteers required Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday.

Undertake guided tours of the Museum as necessary. Undertake Gallery Attendant duties in allocated gallery, as per roster. Meet and greet, and interact with members of the public. Way Finding Volunteers help families navigate their way around the Queensland Children’s Hospital (QCH).Everyday QCH sees more than 1000 families come through the doors and the Way Finders are often the first point of contact for worried and often hurried parents, offering a welcoming smile and a gentle guiding hand.

As an Operating Theatre Recovery volunteer, you will work closely with staff to support the post-anaesthetic care of patients by providing comfort, as well as reconnecting and regulating caregiver visits. Volunteers also support the Queensland Children’s Hospital Recovery staff by answering the phones and maintaining comfort supplies.

Provide support to parents and carers entering the operating suites at the Queensland Children’s Hospital. Volunteers help ease the anxiety of a child’s surgical journey by working closely with medical staff to provide information and emotional support to parents and carers.

At the Caboolture Historical Village we have many school excursions to educate our children about our cultural heritage. We demonstrate the use of a copper boiler to do washing, an old printing press, dairy equipment and blacksmithing. We also have a replica of the First Fleet and can give a talk about the first settlement at Port Phillip. We need people who can work well with children, keep them interested and entertained. All training will be provided.

Customer service and food preparation in our cafe and tea room. Meals are simple and easy to prepare and all necessary training will be provided. No previous experience is required.
