The Family Drug Helpline provides information, support and referrals to people who have someone in their life using alcohol or other drugs. The helpline is staffed by volunteers. THIS IS A PEER SUPORT ROLE, filled by people who have personal experience of being impacted by someone’s substance use. This lived experience is the key selection criteria.

Provide Psychological First Aid to individuals and communities affected by Emergency and disaster events. Provide a listening ear and compassionate care to assist them to recover from the trauma they have been though.

Volunteers are required to assist the Incident Management Team (IMT) to manage Red Cross teams in the field who are providing support to communities during and after a disaster.
