We are looking for a support person for our Inclusive Communities Program. You will be assisting tutors and participants within our wide range of activities. This may include providing positive support and guidance to clients enrolled in our programs. This is a great opportunity to work within a positive and dynamic team.

The Volunteers Hub at Diamond Valley Community Support are advertising this position on behalf of the Lower Plenty Dance Group Inc. Volunteers help set up the venue, greet dancers, manage the reception desk, engage and supervise. The dance group is a not for profit volunteer organization running live and online weekly dance for people with intellectual disabilities.

The Bridge is always looking for volunteers that are willing to support people living with disabilities and disadvantaged backgrounds to enjoy a range of recreational and sporting activities. We have a wide range of activities that our participants can engage in and each activity is in need of volunteers to assist our staff and support workers.

Help support Zena to practice her English skills and engage with her local community. You'll be supporting a person with a disability to connect with the community and engage in activities and groups that align with their interests, skills and/or abilities. The support volunteers provide is flexible based on their capacity and discussed prior to connection. We ask that volunteers can commit to volunteer for 12 months or longer.

Help connect Lisa, a young mum, with her local community. If you're resourceful, a good communicator and passionate about reducing social isolation in the community, this role may suit you! Share your understanding of local services, and your skills in connecting with others, with someone who faces challenges doing the same.

We believe that everyone deserves a friend, and volunteer visitors play a vital role in reducing loneliness while bringing a smile and companionship to older people in the community. A volunteer visitor visits an older person who is at risk of social isolation. Volunteer visitors visit 1 hour weekly or fortnightly and share stories, go for a stroll or have a cuppa, listen to music or play a board game.

Volunteers will support participants with intellectual and physical disabilities. You will support participants and staff with a range of activities throughout the day including arts and crafts, carpentry, swimming, literacy, computer skills, sports, gym, exercising, dancing, basketball, yoga, walking, theatre group, choir, money skills, using public transport, gardening, cooking, barbecues, bowling, fishing and mentoring and many others.
