Inclusion Melbourne’s Leisure Buddy program matches like-minded people to undertake social activities within our community on a fortnightly basis. We are focused on creating genuine, long term connections between volunteers and our Leisure Buddy participants. Therefore, we require a minimum commitment of 12 months and two to three hours per fortnight.

The Japanese Film Festival (JFF) returns to Melbourne on 21 October – 3 November, and is seeking a passionate candidate to join the team as a Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to work behind-the-scenes for the JFF and gain valuable professional experience. The Coordinator will be responsible for researching contacts for local promotions, recruiting and managing volunteers, and assisting staff during the film festival Opening Night. This is a semi-volunteer position.

We rely on volunteers to help with our open sessions, and particularly need extra assistance during our popular open sessions: Saturday 10am - 12.30pm This is fun and in a face-to-face role, helping members with toy returns.

JoCare understands that technology can help stave off loneliness and can enrich an older person’s life by opening up communication with family, grandchildren, community events, online courses, online meetings and can provide another avenue for regular contact. JoCare Digital Mentors provide support to older people in a group setting where volunteers have the support of other mentors. You do not need to be an expert, just enjoy the benefits of technology. Training and support provided

Do you enjoy meeting new people? We are seeking a volunteer one day a week (with preference for Wednesdays from 10:00am – 2:00pm) to be the first point of contact for our front reception, by meeting and greeting visitors into our Kooyong centre at Vision Australia. After settling into the role, there is flexibility for other half day shifts for e.g. 9:00am – 1:00pm or 1:00 – 4:30pm from Monday to Friday.

You will be matched with families and tasks based on your experience, skills and interests and the family’s needs. We would like you to commit for 12 months and to be flexible when volunteering. The support you are expected to give will vary from family to family and may change during your time with us. We will provide you with adequate training and supervision.
