As an Operating Theatre Recovery volunteer, you will work closely with staff to support the post-anaesthetic care of patients by providing comfort, as well as reconnecting and regulating caregiver visits. This role is integral to our ability to continue our work and to grow, and is perfect for someone who loves event coordination and will work with the team to ensure all Pre-Event Preparation is done. The Event Coordinator will oversee Signal Flare’s social BBQ gathering on the day of the event, with a limited amount of pre-work to prepare for the day. This role requires a full day on the particular event day, and a preparation time of 1-2 hours per week between events.

Ideally you will have experience facilitating a support group and/or demonstrate the ability to lead a balanced discussion. Personal experience with macular disease is desirable, not necessary.
