The BRIGHT Walk 2024 takes place on Saturday 6 July from 4pm–9pm. 2500 people will walk through the CBD and North Adelaide, raising money for medical research at SAHMRI through sponsorships from friends and family.

The Cancer Care Centre Board is looking to fill vacant positions with members of the community who have experience within the health industry. The position is available up to our Annual General Meeting to be held in either October/November (to be determined) this year. Following the Annual General Meeting the member will be appointed for a two-year term, with a right to renew for a further term.

Would you like to work within a small team in a caring environment, assisting our members, their families, and friends in supporting them through their journey with cancer. The position requires a diverse range of skills, abilities and experience (health, medical, business administration) to support our Director, in the daily operation of the Centre to delivery services, treatments, support, workshops, education/information.

Promote RFDS and help at fundraising events. Events include market days, open gardens, raffles and occasional special events. Cooking, making savories and cakes, supper provision at old time dance once a month. Staff information and raffle ticket stalls and general assistance at events with a great team.

People living with neurological conditions often benefit from organised support that is led by people who have similar health conditions and experiences managing their health. Peer support groups connect people within a safe space empowering them to take control of their health and wellbeing. We are seeking people with lived experience of neurological conditions to train and act as voluntary peer support group leaders in selected metro and regional areas or within your local community.

We are looking for Ambassadors in the North West and West Coast of Tasmania to deliver Strokesafe education to community groups in your local area and represent us at Stroke Foundation events. If you enjoy interacting with people, are positive and confident and passionate about health promotion we are keen to talk to you about how you can help reduce the impact of stroke in the Tasmanian community.
