Way Finding Volunteers help families navigate their way around the Queensland Children’s Hospital (QCH).Everyday QCH sees more than 1000 families come through the doors and the Way Finders are often the first point of contact for worried and often hurried parents, offering a welcoming smile and a gentle guiding hand.

As an Operating Theatre Recovery volunteer, you will work closely with staff to support the post-anaesthetic care of patients by providing comfort, as well as reconnecting and regulating caregiver visits. Volunteers also support the Queensland Children’s Hospital Recovery staff by answering the phones and maintaining comfort supplies.

Provide support to parents and carers entering the operating suites at the Queensland Children’s Hospital. Volunteers help ease the anxiety of a child’s surgical journey by working closely with medical staff to provide information and emotional support to parents and carers.

We need enthusiastic individuals committed to delivering outstanding customer service, organising merchandise, and handling tasks such as stock unpacking, pricing, and preparing items for sale. Full training provided, looking for long-term volunteers who's like a weekly shift or two. We're Centrelink Approved!

Are you resourceful, a good communicator and passionate about reducing social isolation in the community? The Parents Hub supports parents caring for infants and toddlers who have additional needs. The volunteer will support the group facilitators with the weekly hosting of parent gatherings. This group aims to engage isolated families and encourage network building! Wednesdays from 9.30am-10.30am. We do ask that volunteers can commit to the role for 6 months or longer.

Volunteer Home Visiting aims to empower families and enhance their social inclusion through building their confidence and connection to their community with the support and companionship of a volunteer. Families are based across the Gold Coast and matching is based on volunteers' location and family/carers interests, availability and experience and the goals identified by the family. A Volunteer is matched to provide support one visit per week for 2 hours, over a minimum 6-month period.

The Children's Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of various children's programs and activities. The Coordinator will work closely with volunteers, parents, and staff to ensure that programs are engaging, safe, and aligned with the organization's mission to provide children with opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive.
