You will have a keen interest in children’s literature and be available during the school term in school hours. Kororoit Creek Neighbourhood House is looking for volunteers who can read with students, help with their homework, run games or activities (sport, art, music, science etc) or even just help prepare healthy snacks. Our homework club works with primary school children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds in Sunshine, Albion and surrounding suburbs to support their learning and confidence.

The primary aim of the program is to provide a supportive environment where children can receive individual tutoring for basic literacy and numeracy skills and/or assistance with homework tasks (e.g. reading). The tutor works one to one with a Year 3-8 student every Wednesday afternoon during the school terms. Tutor will need to be available during 3.15pm to 6pm.

The volunteer tutor provides educational support after school hours to students enrolled in local schools in the City of Whittlesea.
