Join us to work alongside participants who have a variety of disabilities (physical, cognitive, psychosocial/mental health) in a garden environment. You will work with participants to complete activities in the garden, or in one of the specialist programs. Volunteers may be required to undertake some physical tasks such as weeding, digging and moving plants around the site.

Volunteers assist our customers to participate in programs, and add value to the services that we offer. As a volunteer, you don’t need any specific qualifications or experience, just a genuine interest to empower people with disabilities and a willingness to share your skills. Volunteers are people just like you!

The Bridge is always looking for volunteers that are willing to support people living with disabilities and disadvantaged backgrounds to enjoy a range of recreational and sporting activities. We have a wide range of activities that our participants can engage in and each activity is in need of volunteers to assist our staff and support workers.

Do you love gardening? Do you want to get out in the sunshine (weather debatable in Melbourne) and spend some time working with your hands? We need gardeners/landscapers or just people who enjoy being out in the garden that are willing to come and volunteer their time and enthusiasm with our participants. Days needed for participation are Friday morning or afternoon.

Our aim is to improve the quality of life of an individual by encouraging active participation social inclusion and promoting independence. We are seeking volunteers to support people with disabilities to undertake commercial and inhouse garden maintenance. Prior gardening experience and /or disability work highly regarded. (C)

Maintenance Workers are responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and premises as well as ensuring facilities are tidy and functional. Ideally you would have some experience or sound handyman skills. The role can require a level of physical stamina from time to time, so you need to possess manual dexterity. You will join a team of dedicated volunteers who provide companionship and a happy team environment. This is a very rewarding role, in a beautiful and peaceful setting. (C)

Riding for the Disabled Association SA Inc is a voluntary, not for profit, organisation providing horse riding and related activities as sport, active recreation and basic therapy for people with disabilities. Through horse riding at RDA SA, people of all ages can enjoy a safe, stimulating, healthy activity.
