We're looking for 25 more volunteers to care for puppies in the City of Boroondara area. Seeking volunteers interested in looking after one of our very special puppies to assist a blind person to live their life to the full. Being a Puppy Carer means you get to experience the joy of looking after an adorable puppy for 12 to 15 months – without any of the associated costs – and enjoy the satisfaction of knowing you are assisting someone who is blind to live the life they choose.

Support a person with a disability to connect with the community and to engage in activities and groups that align with their interests, skills and/or abilities. Social Support Volunteers will receive training and ongoing support. We ask that volunteers commit to volunteer for 12 months or longer.

Participants experience social isolation, so volunteers provide them with companionship and support to engage in a variety of activities tailored to their hobbies, interests, and abilities. You’ll gain valuable experience volunteering with the Merri Mates program and make a difference to the lives of others.

Blind Sports & Recreation Victoria is currently seeking a volunteer to accompany a quiet lady who is vision impaired on fortnightly walks in her local area of Essendon for 1-2 hours. You need to be available on either a Friday afternoon or Tuesday day-time to apply. Help this lady explore her suburb, keep fit and feel socially connected!

Volunteers will support participants with intellectual and physical disabilities. You will support participants and staff with a range of activities throughout the day including arts and crafts, carpentry, swimming, literacy, computer skills, sports, gym, exercising, dancing, basketball, yoga, walking, theatre group, choir, money skills, using public transport, gardening, cooking, barbecues, bowling, fishing and mentoring and many others.

Volunteer with an organisation whose mission is to enable people with disabilities throughout Victoria to experience enjoyment, challenge and a sense of achievement through participation in equestrian activities to improve their quality of life, attain personal goals and develop life skills.
