RDA is a voluntary organisation providing equine-assisted activities for people with disabilities to develop and enhance abilities through programs such as riding, dressage and carriage driving. Horses provide vital mental and physical stimulation for our disabled participants, improving their confidence, increasing their autonomy and delivering immeasurable amounts of pleasure. We are a small neighbourhood centre based in an old housing commission house with some lovely hedges and gardens that need some tendering every now and then. The gardens make Gailes Community House a welcoming space. We also have occasional maintenance tasks such as hanging pictures, fixing cupboards, tables etc.

If you're motivated and physically fit, join our cleaning and gardening team. You may also be asked to ride with our deliveries team.

Our lawn mowing assistant role involves supporting refugee families who have just arrived in Australia. It includes visiting homes around the Corio/Norlane area of Geelong and mowing lawns. We offer this service for a limited period of time, whilst the family are settling into life in Australia and learning skills which they may not have ever had the need to do.

Do you like the outdoors? This is a rewarding role working with our team of volunteers providing garden maintenance and support to our not for profit organisation and its clients. We’re seeking an experienced gardener to mow lawns, whipper snip, weed, water, fertilise and maintain our gardens. You may also be required to teach/lead groups of young people to learn about planting and maintaining vegetable gardens, installing irrigation systems and general gardening.
