Book sorters are required to sort donated books for shelving for our main collection. The collection is a quite valuable community asset. The collection is in particular targeted to Australian authors and Australiana. Further there is a section of books, puzzles, games and bric a brac that is stored for future sales and /or donation.

Record meeting notes, manage emails and general administrative support. The Secretary role is very important to our organisation. The role of Secretary is a pivotal in assisting the President with administrative tasks.

The Treasurer is required to attend offline (quarterly) meetings, where a simple financial report is required. Online meetings (monthly) are usually via email format as short discussion regarding current events. This role is greatly appreciated in relieving other committee members of additional duties. The role is especially suited to lovers of books / jigsaw puzzles and/or games. The role is crucial for our organisation to continue.

FoodFilled is seeking passionate volunteers to help with food deliveries! Flexible commitment, just once a fortnight and takes approx 1 hour! Pickups mostly located in Melbourne’s South East. Volunteer shift involves driving to pick up leftover/excess food from retailers (e.g. supermarket/bakery) and delivering it to a local charity, saving valuable food from ending up in landfill and providing immediate relief for those experiencing food insecurity. Own car required.

A lovely gentleman in the Blackburn area is seeking a Scrabble partner for a weekly or fortnightly social game for company to reduce loneliness. This volunteer role offers flexibility and reward for both the volunteer and recipient of visits.

One hour, once a week is all it takes to be a friend to someone who is lonely. We are seeking a mature person who can offer conversation and maybe even a game of cards for a friendly gentleman who lives in an aged care home. Seeking a visitor for a friendly lady who who would like company for a chat over coffee. She enjoys word searches, AFL football, reading novels and music. This volunteer role offers flexibility and reward for both the volunteer and recipient of visits.
