We are looking for a gardener to maintain our beautiful gardens, that our elderly clients enjoy. The gardener will keep the area free of weeds and keep the fountains clean and Cut back any overgrown vegetation. Our gardener will enjoy a free hot lunch and morning tea provided by our chef.

Wirambi Landcare is Western Australian not-for-profit organisation focused on increasing the awareness of our unique wildlife. Much of the work we do is out in the field weeding, planting and monitoring. We have three sites in the City of Melville which are Blue Gum Lake, Booragoon Lake and Quenda Wetland where we assist the council’s bushcrew and the friends of group in caring for these reserves.

Want hands-on work that actually helps the environment? We grow local native (indigenous) plants from seed or cuttings for revegetation projects or local gardens. Our retail area is open to the public for plant sales. More indigenous plants in gardens and larger revegetation projects provide habitat for native animals, birds and insects, and reduce species loss. We rely on volunteers but lockdowns hit us hard. Please help us get back to the thriving nursery from before the pandemic!

This increases habitat for our wildlife and helps biodiversity. We'd love you to join us to help with maintenance tasks around the nursery and maintaining our facilities. The Hyland House Respite Centre in Petrie is looking for people to assist older persons and people with a disability in maintaining our lovely centre garden. This includes potting and watering plants and chatting about their upkeep. No special skills are needed, just patience and an interest in gardening.
