The Abbey Museum is looking for volunteers to assist with the care and maintenance of the gardens and grounds. The gardens are an integral part of the Museum’s visitor experience and we need you to help to keep them looking beautiful and inviting for our patrons. You can work at your own pace and just enjoy working outdoors in a lovely environment with a bunch of friendly people. We have a great team who are welcoming to new people.

This position will suit a person who's contented to work alone, who enjoys being outside in the fresh air and working in a peaceful environment. Maintenance Workers are responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and premises as well as ensuring facilities are tidy and functional. Ideally you would have some experience or sound handyman skills. The role can require a level of physical stamina from time to time, so you need to possess manual dexterity. You will join a team of dedicated volunteers who provide companionship and a happy team environment. This is a very rewarding role, in a beautiful and peaceful setting. (C)
