Special Olympics Melbourne Inner East (MIE) is looking for a skilled volunteer to coordinate our communications team and content delivery, and represent this team through reporting to and sitting on the MIE Committee, as Communications Coordinator. We are focused on creating genuine, long term connections between volunteers and our Leisure Buddy participants. Therefore, we require a minimum commitment of 12 months and two to three hours per fortnight.

Join our dedicated team at Vision Australia and help make music accessible to individuals with vision impairments through our Braille Music Transcription Service. Volunteer for a three-hour shift once a week. Work remotely over the phone, with music scores emailed to you for transcription.

Do you enjoy meeting new people? We are seeking a volunteer one day a week (with preference for Wednesdays from 10:00am – 2:00pm) to be the first point of contact for our front reception, by meeting and greeting visitors into our Kooyong centre at Vision Australia. After settling into the role, there is flexibility for other half day shifts for e.g. 9:00am – 1:00pm or 1:00 – 4:30pm from Monday to Friday.

Peplow House provides short-term crisis accommodation for single men aged 18 years and over who are homeless. Support is also provided to help individuals access longer term accommodation, and address issues that are impacting opportunities for longer term accommodation. Support worker is needed to provide assistance to the Peplow House staff. Administrative tasks, with the opportunity to go on visits to the cinema, parks, sports with the staff and residents.
