"Being a trained volunteer for the Warrnambool and District Community Hospice has been a true privilege. To not only provide support for both the dying and their families, but also a personal journey of empathetic growth and gratitude to be able to give a little back to our community".

These social outings are so important to the lives of our clients as they get to enjoy a friendly and safe space for them to socialise, enjoy a day full of activities and have a delicious home cooked meal in good company.

Boroondara Cooks is a meal sharing and community-strengthening program that supports older residents (Diners) who live in their own home, however aren’t always able to cook for themselves. The program connects community members (Volunteer Cooks) who are happy to share an extra portion of their home cooked meal with an older neighbour on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis. The Diner appreciates a regular home cooked meal delivered to them and a friendly face to say hello.

Our Social Connections Program supports people aged over 65 to get back to the things they love.
