About this role:
Our Social Centres provide a supportive place for clients to connect with others and engage in activities for their health and wellbeing.
It also gives family and carers an opportunity to take time to focus on their needs while knowing that their loved ones are well looked after.
You will work with our dedicated care team to deliver a range of meaningful activities for clients.
Our Pendana Social Centre is multicultural, and we are specifically looking for volunteers that speak Chinese, Vietnamese and Italian for specific activities.
Activities you may do with your client or support you client with include:
- music, arts, and crafts sessions
- completing puzzles and board games
- gardening
- meal preparation
- social outings in the community.
We are also seeking volunteers who can help transport clients to and from this Social Centre.
About you:
A minimum of 4 hours per week is required.
speak one of the following languages; italian, vietnamese or mandarin or Cantonese
Additional requirements
Covid-19 vaccination . National Police Certificate *.
Ideally we ask volunteers to commit at least one day per week for a minimum of half a day. Preferred days are Monday to Friday
