ARVS organises a weekly food relief initiative called Breakfast in the Park. Numerous individuals and families utilising this service also require other forms of assistance, like getting a haircut. Our goal is to forge positive connections with vulnerable and marginalised community members, contributing to a stronger and more inclusive community. We would like to be able to offer the service of giving haircuts free of charge and free of judgement once a month.

You will be responsible for delivering/collecting various items (including heavy/ bulky items) to/from shops across the region and will deliver these items to community members in need. By performing this role, you will help raise funds by distributing welfare items across the region to support the housing of the homeless and other vulnerable people in the community. You will perform your duties alongside another volunteer and will work as part of the wider team at our Distribution Centre.

Help young people attain their provisional licence by providing safe and supportive driving instruction. Educate learners on vehicle controls, road rules, defensive driving techniques, and manoeuvres to pass driving tests. The role involves tailoring lessons to suit each student’s abilities, instilling safe driving habits, emphasising the importance of defensive driving, hazard perception, & accident prevention, providing feedback and maintaining records of progress, lessons and logbook hours.
