Join The Violet Initiative as a Violet Guide and support Australians through one of life's most challenging stages. Dedicate 4 hours a week from home, providing compassionate phone support to caregivers and the bereaved. Violet Guides deliver this support over the phone, at no cost to the carer. We are seeking sailing volunteers to help disabled adults and young adults to enjoy sailing in small boats on Lake Orr. No sailing or boating experience required. Gold Coast Recreation and Sport Inc is a community based organisation providing recreation and sporting opportunities for people with physical and/or intellectual disabilities. C

WAM empowers women who are in contact with the justice system to create positive change in their lives. We work with women who are experiencing disadvantage and criminalisation because of financial strain, family violence, social isolation, and homelessness. Through the power of a formal mentoring relationship with a screened and trained volunteer mentor, women can improve their self-esteem, develop their skills and abilities, and ultimately build their life away from the justice system.

Seeking flexible, patient and reliable volunteers to mentor young people aged between 11 to 17, through engaging in negotiated recreational activities for a couple of hours per fortnight. Activities may include walking in the park, visiting the local library, attending festivals, playing sports, cooking or going for a drive together.

Attending court can be challenging and distressing, especially if it is your first time. CRC’s trained volunteers provide information on court processes, where to seek advice, and emotional support to people attending local courts across NSW. Legal advice is not provided in this role.
