MiCare is looking for committed and enthusiastic people to volunteer in our Family Learning Clubs in Werribee and Laverton. The program aims to assist newly arrived young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds with their school work, basic literacy and numeracy skills. Must be over 18 years of age.

Would you like to help a young person from a refugee background? Can you spare one or two hours per week to help a VCE student from a refugee backgrounds? If so, the Migrant Information Centre (MIC) needs your help.

Join a passionate team working together to support people seeking asylum in Melbourne. Use your skills as an English Teacher to assist those looking to settle and connect with their community.

Visiting refugee families in their Townsville home and/or weekly calls for an hour. Tutors need no qualifications, experience or special skills. We are looking for people who want to know that they can make a difference to a family and to a person’s future. The Volunteer Head Football Trainer ensures that the game is run safely, with timely and adequate first aid being administered to players immediately. They are also involved in the recruitment, retention and succession planning of other trainers.

Would you like to work one on one with a migrant or refugee to help them with their language and cultural needs? Our volunteers help people to become more independent and to learn how to communicate in the English language.
