Invisible Illnesses Inc is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with invisible illnesses, such as mental health disorders, chronic pain, autoimmune diseases, ADHD, and PTSD. We offer a range of services and support to our community members, including workshops, peer support groups, emergency relief, and well-being services.

A Consumer Advisor is a member of our community who can voice a lived experience of health care at Western Health. They participate in committees, focus groups, projects and a range of other activities to ensure the patient perspective is always considered. Consumer Advisors are part of the Western Health community and should reflect the diversity of our community

Volunteers are the backbone to our harm minimization services ( Needle & Syringe Program ) and assist in community events for Health Promotion to reduce and eliminate viral Hepatitis. Clients are from all walks of life and include PWID, those experiencing trauma, may be street present, itinerant, living with AOD or other complex issues.

We are looking for Ambassadors in the North West and West Coast of Tasmania to deliver Strokesafe education to community groups in your local area and represent us at Stroke Foundation events. If you enjoy interacting with people, are positive and confident and passionate about health promotion we are keen to talk to you about how you can help reduce the impact of stroke in the Tasmanian community.
