Join The Violet Initiative as a Violet Guide and support Australians through one of life's most challenging stages. Dedicate 4 hours a week from home, providing compassionate phone support to caregivers and the bereaved. Violet Guides deliver this support over the phone, at no cost to the carer. The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme is a Federal Government initiative established to promote links between people living in an aged care facility and their local community. The aim of the scheme is to improve residents quality of life for those who have limited family, cultural and social contact and may be at risk of social isolation.
