🌿 Join Our Team as a Nursery Hand at Lagoon Creek Community Nursery! 🌿 Are you passionate about native plants and environmental conservation? Lagoon Creek Community Nursery is looking for a Nursery Hand to assist in the propagation and care of local indigenous plant species.

Friends of Lagoon Creek, is currently seeking volunteer bush regeneration officers to contribute ecological restoration projects in Caboolture. Volunteers will be involved in activities such as weed control, habitat restoration, and ecological monitoring.

The native plant seed orchard aims to grow seed for revegetation on the farm site and to share knowledge and skills to be able to increase involvement of community members and make revegetation more accessible to community from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. in summer volunteers will collect and manage grassland seeds, in winter volunteers will be part of revegetation projects, in autumn volunteers will support the building and set-up of the native seed orchard.

Wetlands are a powerful ally in tackling climate change by capturing blue carbon, protecting our coasts from wild weather events, and cleaning our water. They’re also vital to tackling the decline in biodiversity as well. Unfortunately, only 5% of Australia’s Wetlands remain – it’s time to invest in nature-based solutions to these challenges.

We are looking for someone to do a bit of maintenance gardening, weeding, pruning, round up etc. Flexible times would suit us, any help would be very much appreciated.

Assist our food production efforts using organic methodologies to gradually increase the proportion of food that is produced onsite.
