About this opportunity

This busy nursery environment welcomes new Volunteers to assist in a variety of nursery tasks.

Suitable volunteers will need to follow:

  • strict propagation instructions;
  • comply with safety procedures; and,
  • report any potential hazards to the nursery manager.

Many and varied tasks are available, depending on the time of season. Duties include:

  • seed collecting
  • seed sorting
  • decontaminating benches / pots -pricking plants and propagation.

Standing and bending and some heavy lifting is required in this job.

Wearing appropriate PPE is essential, and as well as the ability to learn and retain new skills.

Additional requirements

Covid-19 vaccination .

Good verbal communication skills and ability to learn and retain new skills required. Good hand-to-eye coordination skills also required.
Volunteer will have to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
