Diabetes Victoria is holding a diabetes education event for the Vietnamese community on May 28, and looking for Vietnamese speaking volunteers to provide in-language support to attendees. We have 4 volunteer roles available. Responsibilities include assisting with promotion prior to the event, set-up/ pack-down of the event, supporting attendees on the day, and ensuring the event goes smoothly.

We are now looking for Youth Mentor volunteers to be part of the PCYC Drive to the Future Program. PCYC exists so that young people at risk across WA have a safe place to go somewhere they can feel at home, make friends and do things that young people should do. With a vision & purpose of changing young people's lives, we are all about empowering young people to reach their full potential and for our centres to be thriving and welcoming hubs within their respective communities.

You will be driving vehicle to pick up donated goods from the community, deliver goods to customer’s homes, deliver/pickup stock to/from our other Op Shops, take rubbish and unsaleable items to the local tip, load/unload the ute/truck as well as other related tasks.

Volunteers are required for transporting of Young People and Children in care. Transporting will include from the Blair Athol DCP office to other Family contact locations, eg schools and libraries. Transporting of the children is with use of government vehicles.

Since its inception, the “Ben’s Place” pantry has grown to become a lifeline for countless individuals and families facing financial hardships, providing them with access to nutritious food and essential supplies. Over 400 households visit the pantry each week, including pensioners, people with disabilities, veterans, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, families with young children and people who are homeless. A driver training & mentoring program that equips young people who are overcoming adversity, to obtain their drivers licence. We require volunteer Driving Supervisor/s to mentor our students to achieve their 120 hours driving for their log book. ***This opportunity comes to you via Volunteering Central Coast, the volunteering resource centre for the Central Coast***
