We will be planting native vegetation to create Urban Shade Forests, to help cool our cities, create habitat for native animals and connect the local community. Many and varied tasks are available, depending on the time of season. Duties include seed collecting, seed sorting, decontaminating benches / pots, pricking plants and propagation. SchoolKits for Congo seek Student Advocates to invite their own school communities to engage in meaningful and rewarding global giving. Advocates will present the program to decision-makers, show them the positive impact that involvement can have on both givers and receivers, and connect them with the resources necessary to complete the first gift cycle. Advocates may also assist with local publicity for the event. Advocates may be current school students or recent graduates.
