YPRL is seeking a new **Reading Dogs team** to join Thomastown Library. Our Reading Dogs program promotes children’s literacy by having children read aloud to dogs at the library. Our mission is to make reading fun and enjoyable for children so that they become confident and lifelong readers. Reading Dogs are accredited companion animals who volunteer with their owner/handler as a team by facilitating reading sessions. You'll be actively involved in caring for your local reservoir reserve and enhancing the experience for visitors. We are looking for adult cat foster carers that can become part of the Alley Katz Australia Org. Foster Care Network to support adult/senior adult cats. Your help will allow us to find appropriate permanent homes for these cats. We have cats right now coming up for going into foster care. You'll need to sign a foster care agreement to proceed, with suitable identity. You cannot foster a cat for another rescue or foster care group at the same time.

Our Volunteer Branches support RSPCA NSW by being able to play a vital part in the rehoming process of animals in various locations in NSW. Being 100% volunteer run, our volunteer branches rely on foster care assistance to house their animals while they wait for adoption, as they have no permanent adoption facility

Tasks may include: manual weed removal, maintenance and repairs to tracks and other infrastructure, revegetation/tree planting, rubbish collection, recording of wildlife sightings, and more.

Join the 'Friends of Parks' volunteers at Kondalilla Falls National Park and help the local Rangers with a variety of activities that will benefit a much-loved rainforest ecosystem on the Blackall Range. Tasks may include: manual weed removal, maintenance and repairs of the walking track and other infrastructure, revegetation/tree planting, rubbish collection, recording of wildlife sightings, and more.

Join the 'Friends of Ferny Forest' volunteer group and help the local Rangers with a variety of activities that will benefit the much-loved mountain bike track and ecosystem in Mooloolah River Conservation Park, at Ewen Maddock Dam. Tasks may include: manual weed removal, maintenance and repairs of the mountain bike track, revegetation/tree planting, rubbish collection, recording of wildlife sightings, and more.

To support the RDA(NSW) Tall Timbers Centre Equine programs by participating in tasks as directed by the Coach. Equine program assistants have a primary role to support RDA Coaches for sessions.

To support the RDA(NSW) Tall Timbers Centre by assisting with horse preparation, leading of horses in program sessions, assistance with life skills/groundwork sessions and assisting in the pack up and return of horses to the paddock.

To support the RDA(NSW) Tall Timbers Centre by being first point of contact for all visitors as well as assisting with volunteer engagement and retention.

To support the RDA(NSW) Tall Timbers Centre by assisting with light gardening duties on the property. - This role is not as physically demanding as property maintenance volunteers and may be suitable to someone with physical issues which require minimal lifting or carrying of heavy items.
