The purpose of our Home Visit service is to reduce the social isolation of our clients who may be feeling disconnected from their community. Have you got a few spare hours to visit an elderly person on the Northern beaches ? Do you enjoy engaging with people and making a meaningful difference to the lives of others ? MCCI supports older people from multicultural backgrounds. Our Volunteer Drivers provides door to door transport in our 12-seater Toyota Hiac (automatic). You will drive clients to social groups in different locations around the ACT. Normal car license only required. Full training provided.

We have older clients in Busselton, Quindalup and Cowaramup, that would love a visit in their homes to support them to learn more about their device and be shown how to get the most out of their devices such as smart phones, tablets, laptops etc.

As you may imagine the lock down was a lonely time, so we have created some new volunteer roles to help reduce social isolation and help the elderly who live independently to reconnect back into the community.

We have many interesting residents at EACF who also love meeting new people and talking about life’s ups and downs.

Do you enjoy having a chat and sharing a cuppa? You might like to visit and befriend a person living in an aged care home. If it suits you both, you could take the resident out or for a walk in the grounds. Spend time sharing interests, listening & talking.

Yaandina Roebourne Aged Services are seeking volunteers with a genuine desire and interest in working with aged, disabled and individuals detoxing. Volunteers would be involved in providing social support for clients in the community, providing personal care and assisting with interaction and transport for group activities.
