Help unpack a food order and supervise the food bank at a learning centre in North Melbourne supporting migrant, refugee and asylum seeker women.

Play a vital role in the maintenance of the ASWC's Food Pantry service. The primary task is to ensure that the ASWC foodbank is replenished weekly, via driving trips to Foodbank and Secondbite, in order to provide for vulnerable people in the community.

The Orygen Assist program provides essential items including non-perishable foods, clothing, and hygiene products to young people & their families. This position supports our volunteer-run service by completing deliveries of online clinician orders.

This volunteer role is in-person at our Parkville site with flexible days/ times (Between Mon-Fri, 9am-4pm). Tasks include completing Orygen Assist deliveries as required across our sites in the Northwest region of Melbourne and pick up & delivery of stock orders from our charity partners as needed (e.g. Foodbank & Pinchapoo).

We are looking for community members with a lived experience of suicide to provide peer support to other members of our community who have been bereaved through suicide, caring for someone through a suicidal crisis, have experienced suicidal thoughts or survived a suicide attempt. The nature of your role may vary from having a cuppa with someone, or accompanying them to an appointment, cooking a meal, walking the dog, or just chatting via text, email or phone.

The role is supporting parents, grandparents, and significant others in a child's life to navigate the Child Safety system. FIN Townsville offers free independent support to all families involved in Child Safety to ensure the safety of children is paramount, and families are appropriately supported.
