Only those generally interested in supporting frail aged and palliative care patients and family are required for the Mercy Health Albury Palliative Care Volunteer program. In-facility and community roles are available to be discussed with the Volunteer Coordinator

Volunteers are matched to a resident in an aged care facility or a resident living in their own home according to skills, interests, background, language. Training and ongoing support is provided.

• Making sandwiches, salads • Cutting up fruit and vegetables • Dishing up meals • Slicing meat • Wrapping produce • Read and understand meal labels • Assisting in organising produce • Keeping all kitchen surfaces clean and tidy • Complete all training as required • Always conduct yourself in accordance with the Code of Conduct, MOWFC Policies and Procedures, and the Aged Care Standards • Other duties as reasonably requested by the Manager or the Chef
