The Goolwa Community Centre is an all inclusive, intergenerational community centre. They run a wide variety of fun and engaging programs that appeal to all ages!
Volunteers in the Goolwa Green Thumbs program assist community residents with advice and low-level gardening tasks. This allows residents to remain independent in their community and to maintain accessible, easy care, waterwise gardens.
Volunteer duties include: • weeding • sweeping paths • trimming low level plants • planting small plants • re-potting (small to medium plants)

Additional requirements
National Police Certificate *.
- Appropriate knowledge and skill base in gardening tasks
- Punctuality, reliability and dependability
- Genuine interest in assisting residents to remain engaged and connected to their garden space.
- Encouraging involvement and a sense of purpose
- Well developed communication and interpersonal skills
- An ability to work with people and process values that recognise and support personal cultural and lifestyle differences
