AVCon Invader are a social club of South Australian anime and gaming fans that volunteer and help run AVCon Anime and Gaming festival.

Scribblers Festival is run by a small, passionate team and we always appreciate a helping hand. The Scribblers team needs you to help spread the magic of storytelling. We’re on the lookout for Volunteers for the 2024 Scribblers offerings. It’s a great opportunity to gain work experience on a major event, connect with fellow creatives, and perhaps even meet some authors or artists!

The Volunteers primary role is to assist the participants to ride a wave! Each participant has a different disability which can either be physical, intellectual or both. Disabled Surfers Association - SA Branch assist them to enjoy the experience of surfing & ensure they stay safe & injury free in the process. A surfing background is an advantage for volunteers but not essential. However you need to be a physically fit, aged 17+ & be comfortable in the water for periods of up to 2 hours.
