Calling all cooking lovers or retired chefs who would like to give back to their community! We are in much need of a volunteer to help prepare and serve nutritious & delicious meals to our lovely clients onsite at our Leisure Centre activities in Guildford. These social outings are so important to the lives of our clients as they get to enjoy a friendly and safe space for them to socialise, enjoy a day full of activities and have a delicious home cooked meal in good company.

Boroondara Cooks is a meal sharing and community-strengthening program that supports older residents (Diners) who live in their own home, however aren’t always able to cook for themselves. The program connects community members (Volunteer Cooks) who are happy to share an extra portion of their home cooked meal with an older neighbour on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis. The Diner appreciates a regular home cooked meal delivered to them and a friendly face to say hello.

Our Social Connections Program supports people aged over 65 to get back to the things they love.

Our multicultural social groups come together each week for social activities, company and a meal. This role helps prepare nutritious culturally appropriate meals for our clients to enjoy together. We are looking to fill positions for our Multicultural group at the Axis youth centre corner of Campbell street and Park Street Queanbeyan.

We are looking for volunteers to operate our kiosk. You will be required to make coffees from our coffee machine and serve biscuits, sell goods from a kiosk cupboard and clean up afterwards.
