You are required for the upcoming Visual Impact Brisbane show on Wednesday 17 - Friday 19 July 2024. We are looking for multiple passionate individuals to assist at the event in various roles, breaks will be given and Lunch supplied.

The Monsignor Hawes Heritage Centre (MHHC) is a state-of-the-art interpretive centre, within the grounds of St Francis Xavier's Cathedral, that tells the story of architect-priest Monsignor John Cyril Hawes. The Monsignor Hawes Museum Attendant will engage with visitors to help them appreciate the wonderful story of Monsignor John Cyril Hawes and to take the opportunity to visit the many places he built in the Midwest and Gascoyne region of WA.

It’s all here, tourism, history, holiday programs and events! Opportunities exist for volunteers in multiple roles: heritage guides, customer service, visitor information assistants, and village “stollers” in heritage costume. The brave solo refugee Mums who make SchoolKits for Congo also make beautiful buntings from bright African fabrics, and teach other Mums to do the same. We sell them in Australia and return the proceeds to the makers so that they can pay the school fees for their children to be educated. We are looking for stallholders who could add a product to their range, and for representatives who can show buntings to potential retailers and customers.

SchoolKits for Congo seek Student Advocates to invite their own school communities to engage in meaningful and rewarding global giving. Advocates will present the program to decision-makers, show them the positive impact that involvement can have on both givers and receivers, and connect them with the resources necessary to complete the first gift cycle. Advocates may also assist with local publicity for the event. Advocates may be current school students or recent graduates.

The role of Op Shop Assistant exists to help sell a wide range of new and pre-loved items. This involves serving members of the public, assisting with stock rotation, sorting and pricing items, merchandising and keeping the Op Shop in a tidy and presentable state.

We need volunteers to assist in our canteen with food preparation, distribution & clean up. When: Monday, Wednesday or Friday between 8.00 am and 2.00 pm

Working closely with the senior retail officer, the role’s primary focus is supporting the team in administration and general retail duties. The contribution you make in this role will enable greater efficiency in the retailing processes and support a positive customer experience, which in turn ensures financial viability to support the animals in our care.

The museum is only open 2 mornings a week. We need more people so that we can open other times. Front of house involves greeting visitors, recording visitor numbers, recording any sales and ensuring museum is clean & tidy. Training will be available so that you can help with answering visitor questions re local history.
