Participants experience social isolation, so volunteers provide them with companionship and support to engage in a variety of activities tailored to their hobbies, interests, and abilities. You’ll gain valuable experience volunteering with the Merri Mates program and make a difference to the lives of others.

Assisting with raising funds through the sales of preloved and new clothing, accessories and homewares to support the everyday work of Red Cross. Volunteers assist to drive sales through delivering excellent customer service, emphasizing on positive shopping experience for our customers.

We’re looking for volunteers to support our research work with companies to find out what practices they have in place to minimise the risk of slavery and exploitation. We’ll then use this data to award companies a grade, which will be made available via our Behind the Barcode reports and Ethical Fashion Guides.
