Community Nursery Assistants support the propagation of local provenance native plants for re-vegetation of the local environment within the City of Greater Geraldton. Many and varied tasks are available, depending on the time of season. Duties include seed collecting, seed sorting, decontaminating benches / pots, pricking plants and propagation. Want to help restore our native bushland? Bassendean Preservaton Group (BPG) is a local community bushcare group. We are looking for volunteers to help out at our native plant nursery in Ascot on Wednesday mornings, on a regular basis. Also to help out with bushland plantings on occasional weekend mornings throughout the year, mostly in winter. We plant around the Bassendean area, mostly around the foreshore and wetland areas. Tasks typically include manual weed removal and with the occasional opportunity to assist with revegetation, rubbish collection and minor maintenance of the Heath circuit walking track.

We are looking for someone to do a bit of maintenance gardening, weeding, pruning, round up etc. Flexible times would suit us, any help would be very much appreciated.
