Want hands-on work that actually helps the environment? We grow local native (indigenous) plants from seed or cuttings for revegetation projects or local gardens. Our retail area is open to the public for plant sales. More indigenous plants in gardens and larger revegetation projects provide habitat for native animals, birds and insects, and reduce species loss. We rely on volunteers but lockdowns hit us hard. Please help us get back to the thriving nursery from before the pandemic!

This position will suit a person who's contented to work alone, who enjoys being outside in the fresh air and working in a peaceful environment. This role would also suit a person who has a love for nature and gardening. If you are someone who finds satisfaction in keeping everything looking nice, a way to keep fit and healthy, this is the role for you. Days and Times are flexible to suit the Volunteer!

From working in the nursery and in our gardens. including the Community Garden, helping with our projects and events to helping in the office, our volunteers give a large amount of time. Our reservoir reserves are home to beautiful landscapes and unique flora and fauna. Join a group of like-minded people and help nurture these special places. You'll be actively involved in caring for your local reservoir reserve and enhancing the experience for visitors. Activities include bushcare, revegetation, habitat improvement, biodiversity surveys (e.g. birds, frogs, plants), fish stocking and supporting community events.

You will assist local experts identify, measure and map endangered plants at the reserve as part of the NSW Government's Saving our Species program.
