About this opportunity

Role Description: As a Community Native Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our native plant propagation. Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting with native plant propagation activities including seed collection and processing, seed germination, seedling transplanting, tree care and nursery maintenance. Collaborating with other volunteers and staff members to achieve nursery objectives and contribute to broader landcare initiatives.

Requirements:

Enthusiasm for environmental conservation and native plant species. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to learn and take on new tasks related to native plant propagation and nursery operations. Physical fitness to handle outdoor tasks and lift/move plants and equipment as needed. Availability for a regular commitment and attendance at occasional weekend events preferred

Wear closed shoes
Sun smart clothing, broad brimmed hat etc
We have Kitchen facilities for volunteers to bring morning tea

Time Required

We really need more people to help us we are open to all and any contributions between the hours of 9am - 12pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and every second and fourth Sunday. We are preferably looking for more longterm volunteers as training needs to really be an ongoing thing to be of benefit to any volunteers and the organisation in what they can also offer.
