This would be a great opportunity for psychology/social work/community service students to gain experience working with children with autism.

The Social Connection Volunteer will support people who feel isolated in building social connections within the local community.

You will be matched with families and tasks based on your experience, skills and interests and the family’s needs. We would like you to commit for 12 months and to be flexible when volunteering. The support you are expected to give will vary from family to family and may change during your time with us. We will provide you with adequate training and supervision.

Our Cafes give people living with dementia and their support person, the opportunity to connect with others in a welcoming, supportive environment. The Cafe is held in a Dementia Friendly Location in Bibra Lake 10am -12 pm. One Friday morning every 4 to 6 weeks If you enjoy meeting others; and have a warm, positive approach, it would be fabulous to hear from you.
