Are you passionate about creating positive change to your community? Merri Mates is a 1-on-1 social outreach program that supports people with mild to moderate disabilities. Participants experience social isolation, so volunteers provide them with companionship and support to engage in a variety of activities tailored to their hobbies, interests, and abilities. You’ll gain valuable experience volunteering with the Merri Mates program and make a difference to the lives of others.

Our reservoir reserves are home to beautiful landscapes and unique flora and fauna. Join a group of like-minded people and help nurture these special places. You'll be actively involved in caring for your local reservoir reserve and enhancing the experience for visitors. Activities include bushcare, revegetation, habitat improvement, biodiversity surveys (e.g. birds, frogs, plants), fish stocking and supporting community events.

Visiting a person with developmental disability on a regular schedule, usually once every 2 months but occasionally once a month for 1-3 hours, developing a rapport with that person and reporting back on their health or any needs they may have.
