This lady would benefit greatly from regular contact by a visitor/friend. Regular contacts or visits have a positive impact in reducing social isolation and improving the well-being of the resident.
Visit a socially isolated elderly man living in an aged care home in Healesville. Resident is Scottish and was a missionary in Africa and Hong Kong. He is legally blind but loves to get out and about. He enjoys gospel music and heading outside the facility for a coffee. Enjoy a cup of tea together, talk about family or go for short walk.
